There is only one major statewide contest for San Gabriel Valley residents to decide, as Supervisor Kathryn Barger won re-election by defeating two challengers without taking more than half the vote. Incumbent Monica Garcia is defended by incumbent Jean Ayala, who was appointed for her second term.
